Buddy Bench
We will be starting our grade 1 guidance lessons in the next few weeks featuring the heart-breaking and heart-warming book "The Invisible Boy" by Trudy Ludwig.
This year we are going to explore this idea as well because "Sometimes, it's good to have a buddy."

On the Topic of Love

This is one of my favorite books on parenting. Children (and people in general) are described as having "love tanks". For our teaching and training to be effective, our children needs their love tank nice and full. We receive and give love in different ways. According to Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell, we usually have a primary and secondary love languages. They are as follows:
Physical Touch
Words of Affirmation
Quality Time
Gifts
Acts of Services.
Knowing our children's primary and secondary love languages will have us be more effective in helping them feel loved unconditionally. I hope to share more about each of these in a series of videos in the near future.
